The Postman Doth Bring Wonders

by Mograg on 15th March 2012 at 03:02 PM
Got home last night to find that the Laundry RPG - Agents Handbook, T.O.M.E. Glozel Est Authentique, and T.O.M.E. Pursuit to Kadath had arrived in the daily mail delivery. All in good condition. The T.O.M.E. modules look a little yellowed and scuffed and tired, but not bad for almost 30 years old. It's a fun to look at the old-school typesetting on the older modules...looks like the whole thing was done on someone's typewriter and then sent to a printer for duplicating. Homemade sketch maps.

Prepping Madness in London Town for Friday night game

by Mograg on 13th March 2012 at 06:30 PM

Visions of Y'ha-nthlei

by Mograg on 9th March 2012 at 04:22 PM
I work at a campus library on the coast of the Massachusetts north shore. Today at lunch time, I plan to walk to water's edge, stare out at the gray, moody Atlantic waters, and daydream of Y'ha-nthlei. In the distance, Salem harbor will be sighted, as will a finger of Marblehead ("Kingsport"), jutting out into the watery abyss. I guess you could call it a few moments of my own solitary De Profundis game.

A wicked cool day with Dan Harms and Bret Kramer

by Mograg on 16th January 2012 at 03:45 PM
Yesterday (Sunday, Jan. 16th) was a good day. I met up with fellow Lovecraftian devotees Dan Harms (The Necronomicon Files; Encyclopedia Cthulhiana) and Bret Kramer ("Winston P" on these forums; author of Machine Tractor Station Kharkov-37) and we went on a day-long sojourn through the rambling hills of central Massachusetts, tracking down ancient cemeteries and sites that had personal meaning to HPL himself. Bret is an expert in colonial-era graveyard headstones, taking us to five or
