A Strange Visitation in the Night

After a misfire last weekend, today was a better session than the first -- in spite of, or perhaps because of, us being down two players. While this situation stopped us from gaming on last Sunday, I decided not to let it be an issue today, and so we forged ahead with the three who made it. And it was a blast.

I had to toss out everything I had prepared because it focussed on plot threads for the two missing PCs. Instead I went off the cuff -- even moreso than I did in the first session -- and managed to do a pretty good job by all accounts. It also was a much slower-progressing session, which is likely because one of the missing players is generally more impatient and tends to rush through plot developments faster than I would like. I'll have to work on keeping the reins tight at times.

So I introduced the mytserious Japanese woman and the snowstorms that seemed to invade the house with malicious intent. I didn't tip my hand as to how exactly the two were related, but I certainly hinted strongly that they were with the ending. Will our heroes be able to escape the house? Will they retrieve their missing comrades? Only one way to find out.
