They can't find a lightswitch, so Walther (played as very nervy) is very happy to nip off to get Thomas's Carbide lamp. They proceed down, Thomas first, pistol in one hand, lamp in the other. They head down the stairs
Walther, as always, staying at the back. Opening a door, Thomas finds a lightswitch and flicks it on.
He sees a full laboratory with various chemicals in jars, mortars pestles and various medical equipment. (Out of game, the player states "nothing immediately threatening then?" Keeper, "Not unless you're threatened by tables and chairs....?")
They move over to the door, with Walther coveniently looking the other way (???). Harold listens and hears nothing. So Harold and Thomas enter. They search about, but find nothing in the work room, and leave Walther (where he feels safe) searching the lab.
He figures out that all this equipment must have cost thousands and thousands of greenback. He finds all sorts of bits in jars, of plants and other unidentifiable items.
Thomas and Harold press on,
but just find a washer room and a further storage room. Seaching Harold just finds old clothes and household junk in boxes.
Walther searches the cabinet and finds lots of well kept clean surgical equipement. He does hear a slight buzzing/humming noise. Opening up the bottom drawer he sees it's a compressor that's made the noise, and it's some sort of refridgerator. Inside he finds lots of sort of organic stringy stuff. He makes the connection that it's veins, tendons and other bits. Walther notices a fetid smell coming from the cabinet so, again being cautious, closes the cabinet (whilst other player make chicken noises!) and walks away.
When Thomas comes back,
Walther tells him what's in there. Thomas is tempted to take his word for it, but looks anyway. Harold then checks out the cabinet, whilst Thomas goes off to make a call upstairs, to report in. Harold tries to move the cabinet, but cannot get his fingers behind it. He opens it up inside and tapping the back of it, sees it moves a bit. He calls in Walther. Harold removes the tools and then realises that the back is a false panel. he tries to move it and hears a gurgling sound. Immediately Walther finds this as an excuse to leave the room (substantial derision from other players) "I'll go and get Thomas," (more clucking noises). Harold then pulls the hidden door off. he's not even got it halfway when small arms reach round at him, from behind it. He drops it and runs off upstairs, screaming at Walther, "RUN!!!".
