Diary of an Amatuer Keeper

I have run D20 CoC two nights, and I can honestly say that it is way more fun than I thought it would be. I spent a couple months trying to "learn" how to Keep. I was reading articles, watching/listening-to game sessions trying to figure out some "formula" or method for steering the adventure. Being a Keeper wasn't really my ideal choice. But where I am located there are currently NO CoC games around, D20 or Classic. There are only D&Ders, Magic players, and Warhammer guys. I work at my friends comic book/hobby store and decided to pick a night and run D20 CoC. Well, so far I've only had two PCs but that has worked out so much better than I thought. I was worried about them dying or not really picking up on clues which isn't the case. I've also realized that I cannot doubt that the story will take the course that's intended. So far I have ran "The Haunting" and "Edge of Darkness" and it's been a blast. If anyone is wondering if they should run a game because of a lack of CoC in their area, I encourage it. After all, if you don't, then who will? Being a keeper is just as much fun as being a character, and for some it is MORE fun, mwahaha! I am so glad I found that D20 CoC rulebook hidden on a shelf at my friend's shop. I believe it was fate...
