  • Monographs: Colonial Terrors and The Sevenfold Path

Two more monograph releases from Chaosium (bringing October's total to four)! This time Colonial Terrors by Jeff Woodall - a Call of Cthulhu campaign set in New England just prior to the American Revolution where the investigators are "patriot smugglers" (which is not what we called them in the UK ).

The second new monograph is based much further North with The Sevenfold Path - a sourcebook (and campaign) for 1920s Iceland by Jeff Moeller.

Both MULA monographs are available in print and PDF formats directly from Chaosium's online shop.

    Colonial Terrors
    Colonial Terrors MULA Monograph
"The times were lawless and the men who had flouted the King's Revenue forces for years were not the ones to balk at sterner things when duty impelled." — H.P. Lovecraft, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward

Colonial Terrors is a Call of Cthulhu campaign taking place in New England just prior to the American Revolution. The investigators are patriot smugglers.

In this Age of Enlightenment great progress is made in science, politics, and philosophy. Many, but not all, of the shackles of previous eras are shaken free.

This is a land where old gods grow new again.

    By Jeff Woodall. 60 pages. 8.5 x 11" perfect-bound paperback.

Price: $12.95 (US) Print | $8.95 (US) PDF

MISKATONIC UNIVERSITY LIBRARY ASSOCIATION monographs are longer works by one or more authors on a subject of import to Call of Cthulhu roleplayers. On these products the author has also fulfilled the functions of editor and layout artist; Chaosium have done little in the way of editorial. The works were found compelling and Chaosium thought that you would enjoy them. Through the publication of monographs Chaosium can offer their most loyal fans more information more easily, and evaluate the potential of these works for eventual release to the wholesale market.

I've posted a detailed content summary of The Sevenfold Path in the Hollow Earth thread in the forums, most easily found by searching for "Sevenfold". It is both Mysteries of Iceland and a five scenario, beginning-to-end campaign. Hope people enjoy it, it was a great deal of work.

Wow! A Colonial-era CoC monograph. What an awesome idea. Someone should do an actual Colonial sourcebook. Oh wait....

The Hollow Earth connection to the Sevenfold Path sounds very intriguing.

I have purchased the Sevenfold Path monograph and have read through it twice. It is an excellent piece of writing and quite entertaining. It seems to me that the author put a great deal of work and research into the production of this campaign; I thank him for it. I can't wait to play it.
