The problem of investigators missing a vital clue by failing a Spot Hidden roll is mentioned frequently on the forums. I came up with the following rules procedure to be used when your investigators search a place for clues. Basically, if a clue is vital to the plot, the investigators will find it once they are looking in the right place.
