Thanks!
Congratulations on getting published
The Napleonic Wars scenario is an idea that popped into my mind a little while back. Hopefully, I'll get it done sometime in the next month or so, so I can roll it out for play-testing.
Galicia episode sounds promising.
Most definitely.

Sounds great! I may very well steal the idea and use something similar in my campaign. Some sort of explanation as to why half-a-dozen different cults are suddenly surfacing in Boston, for example...
can't let those players get too uppity, can we
sounds good - look forward to hearing more as you proceed
Tobey saved the day in a moment where everybody else failed their Spot Hidden. To me he's like Ron Howard's brother. He belongs. The players didn't read the notes when the spirit attacked. It sensed that the journal was in their hands and it knew it had to act decisively. Run it as an intelligent threat that's had a lot of times working out the details of how to best survive. I set up the attack on the cars and the ambush in such a way that gave the spirit enough of a boost to drag two characters from as far as the super's house, their heels dragging in the dirt as they were flung backwards and throw the door. The investigator had a shotgun and tried to wedge himself at the frame, so the spirit pulled, stopped and popped him through as the investigator's arms rattled from the force . A great moment!
Doesn't he also get a mention in 'Wasted Youth' from "New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley"? Like I said above, good ole' Floyd might make a reappearance. Maybe I need to look into getting that 'Halloween Horrors' monograph...
DUDE. Floyd Tobey ROCKS! He appears in Halloween Nuit from the Halloween Horrors book and The Hopeful from More Adventures In Arkham Country. I love that guy!
Unfortunately, it's not a PbP. I was going to run it using Savage Worlds/Realms of Cthulhu for my regular RP group, but time and player burnout on SW in general have made me switch to the BRP rules. Also the list of scenarios I'm using has changed a little, partly due to one of my players having read a lot of CoC scenarios during his long run as a Keeper over the years, and due to some new thoughts on the connecting plot that popped into my head during the planning stages.
Wow. I'm really intrigued by your ideas on what scenarios to use for your campaign, and that you're going to run it with Savage Worlds. Are you using the Realms of Cthulhu rules, (the SW rules designed for Call of Cthulhu)? Any chance this is going to be a PBP game?
Thanks for the suggestions. Now I have to hunt down a copy of Dead Reckonings .
Glad "Ghosts" appeals to you. You might also consider either "Dust to Dust" or "Dark Rivals" from Dead Reckonings, as the former is simply a very good scenario (you could make the villain of the piece a dupe working for a member of the witch cult, resurrecting old enemies and the like) and the later has the witch cult dealing with competition from another Mythos group. You could also have the main villain in "The Condemned" be freed not by accident but purposefully by the Cult. Lastly, check out "A Painted Smile" in Tales of the Miskatonic Valley; the "villain" of that piece could be a dottering former member of the cult perhaps? I like that scenario as it the enemy is unexpected, not exceptionally deadly, and yet very very creepy if done well. Good luck with the campaign!
