Having heard from locals down in the town that there'd been a grisly murder at the very asylum around a year ago, the rest of the party's interest was finally piqued and Sam and Blott asked Howe to see if they could get in an interview Lucious Harriwell, a madman who witnessed in the gory death of a nurse a year previous.

Session two began the process of opening up the campaign proper. Following the rather strange performance the week before, both Lord Sam and violinist, Victor Ringford had some slightly disturbing dreams. They soon brushed them off though and got down to the serious business of being active London socialites.

Meanwhile, Dr Howe received a letter which led to an interview with a Dr Charles Highsmith who petitioned for his help in evaluating the case of St Agnes' asylum inmate, Alexander ...

Character gen and first session went fairly well. Exhausting though! The cast are:

* Extremely wealthy London-based socialite and concert violinist, Victor Ringford.

* Down-at-heel dilettante, unsurpassed moocher and disowned shame of the family, Lord Samuel Fitzlackington.

* Fitzlackington's loyal and unpaid valet (actually his bodyguard, paid for in secret by Samuel's father), the humourless and ruthless Polish ex-cavalryman, Blött.

* ...

Hoy... blimey... I've been meaning to run this for about 2 or 3 years now and - finally - after the sudden and surprisingly bloodless finale of the GURPS-based homebrew campaign set in Ian M. Banks' "Culture" universe that I'd been playing in for a few months... its my turn to DM tonight.

Still not sure I'm going to be ready. Prepping merrily away right now. Tatters is full of characters - characters who know stuff and have quite well fleshed out personalities and motivations. One ...

Okay, perhaps not exactly a cure all but when you're laid up in bed for several days unable to do anything productive - recorded audio-games are a bloomin' godsend!
