CBC#025: Dicey Situations

The March 2017 edition of The Cthulhu Breakfast Club is out and we're joined at our table once again by BigJackBrass (Jon Hancock). In this meeting we talk about:

RPG purchasing dilemmas, Brotherhood of the Beast (deluxe) giveaway, nice dice, AireCon IV (report), Marty and The Two-Headed Serpent, luxury RPGs and other sundry topics.

Yes, to mark our 25th CBC (and two years of gatherings) up for grabs is a Brotherhood of the Beast Deluxe Edition, courtesy of the HPLHS. Someone's going to be rather lucky...

The Cthulhu Breakfast Club is recorded in Ambisonic sound, with a clarity so sharp you can hear the teacakes being buttered in front of you. Come, join us at our table, it's just we and thee at Breakfast Club!

Cthulhu Breakfast Club: Dicey Situations

The following is a video piece about the HPLHS Brotherhood of the Beast Deluxe Edition that we're giving away on the CBC this month.

Just a point of correction.

It's stated during the podcast that Chaosium does nothing with the errata posted to the BRP Central forum and that PDFs etc. are never updated.

This is not true for Call of Cthulhu products. Both Rulebook, Investigator Handbook, Doors to Darkness, Pulp Cthulhu, and the Grand Grimoire have been updated as appropriate. Updated PDFs are uploaded to the Chaosium website once errata has been input and can be downloaded from "your completed orders".

Thanks for the correction, Mike.

As the person who made the comments I certainly apologise for any inaccuracy. Most of my time on the basicroleplaying.org forum is spent reading the HeroQuest and Glorantha sections, so I may certainly have missed discussion of errata being added to Cthulhu products.

There certainly are threads bemoaning the lack of updates to other PDFs, however, and I would not have made mention of it had I not read them. My remarks were made in the context of a more general topic, namely the benefits of buying directly from the publisher, rather than being directed at specific Call of Cthulhu products.

Loved it, with the exception of discovering that the domain picklegate.com has already been registered.

I suspect it was the double teacakes that went to Jon's Head.

You can in fact hear the buttering process at about 16m:40s in... (the teacakes rather than Jon's head).

They were awfully good teacakes. I may have to switch to liquid butter in future, in order to keep the noise down...

Is there such a thing? Isn't that just oil?

Hmm... oiled breakfast club.... I think I need a cold shower...

How do you enter the competition?

You can find the details of how to enter given in the meeting. Still over week to run (closes 21st April)!

So much delicious Cthulhu goodness packed into one little bag :)

It is amazing isn't it?
